At Garrett Farms we are been passionate about our cow herd. Located in the rolling hills of South Central Iowa, we have been utilizing AI breeding to better our operation for over 20 years. Our cow herd is ran similar to our customer's operations and our cows are on fescue pastures throughout the year. Our heifers begin calving in February, and cows follow about three weeks later.
We started selling bulls a few years after we began AIing our cows. In 2015, we started to grow that number and are currently selling 25-30 bulls a year. We take bull soundness and structure very seriously. Our bulls are weaned around the middle of October and weights are taken in early November. They are bunk fed the remainder of their time on our farm. You won't find any of our bulls over conditioned.
We realize there are many options when you are looking for bulls and we appreciate you taking the time to view our genetics. Please do not hesitate to reach if you have any questions!
